Objectives: Learn about how waves erode the coast and what types of land forms are created by wave erosion.
Instruction for Make-Up work: Watch this video and on a piece of paper, write two sentences of observations (what you SEE, not something you assume.): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nwuPB33NoWQ Then, read pages 296-300 in your textbook. On the same sheet of paper, write down the answer to Reading Checkpoint at the bottom of page 298, and the Reading Checkpoint at the end of the main text on page 300. Turn this in to the Make-Up work folder While you were gone: we read the textbook out loud together in class and looked at real-world examples of these land-forms as well as going through coastal erosion effects together. Here is some material to help you understand if the reading was difficult for you or you want a deeper understanding: Video explaining how water erodes the coast Diagram of Headlands Comments are closed.
